I’m not sure if I mentioned before in my very first blog post, but I have been creating educational materials as a hobby for over a year now. It was just a part-time thing that I really enjoyed. I had every intention to turn my part-time hobby into a full-time work-from-home job. I found it hard to regain my motivation for creating products for my Teachers Pay Teachers store after I resigned my teaching position because I didn’t know where to begin. I think I was intimidated by the number of TpT sellers and the fact that I didn’t know where to begin when it came to trying to promote my store. I had so many ideas for new products running through my brain that I became overwhelmed. I began to think about my goals for my TpT store. My goal is to create products for my daughter for her very first homeschooling year; products that I can also upload to my TpT store. I figured if they don’t sell, then at least my daughter will benefit from them. Ha! I will be writing about the products I have created and sharing how well my daughter does with the products.
It has been awhile since I sat down and worked on any project for my TpT store, but I finally finished my CVC “DOT” Blending Word Cards
My daughter loves blending letter sounds to form and read new words. She is just beginning to learn how to read, and it is such a fun process. I created these blending cards with her in mind. They were a hit with her! She used play-dough to help her blend the letter sounds together to read the word on the word cards. She loves anything to do with play-dough!
